| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 <<< Joyce Snede, 85, of Northfield, Minnesota passed away Jan. 25, 2018. Joyce Arlene Brenden Snede was born Oct. 4, 1932 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the daughter of Odin and Helen (Solem) Brenden. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1950 and moved to St. Paul to attend Ancker School of Nursing. On Sept. 12, 1953, Joyce married Kenneth Snede at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Joyce worked as a registered nurse at Ancker Hospital, Shakopee Medical Center and the Minnesota Masonic Home. In 1975, Ken and Joyce moved to Lake Havasu City. During those years Joyce worked in various capacities as a nurse until she retired in 1995. In 2006, Joyce and Ken moved to Northfield. Joyce was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and a former active member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Lake Havasu City. She was also active in WELCA and the Lake Havasu Kiwanis. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Ken; children Kristi (William) Henry of Apple Valley, Minnesota, James (Cheryl) of Eagan, Minnesota ; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister Judy (Daryl) Kuyper of Northfield. Joyce’s service was Jan. 29 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Northfield. A reception followed. Arrangements are with the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home. www.northfieldfuneral.com |
