Paul Ludvigsen, 75 , died on June 6, 2007, at Lake Havasu City,
Arizona. He was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, and was the youngest of
11 children. He grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and moved to
Chicago at age 14 to live in grandmother's attic and begin working as
a newspaper pressman, a job he worked at for approximately 40 years.

He worked throughout the country at newspapers such as the Los Angeles
Herald Examiner, the Daily Racing Form, the Miami Herald, the Toledo
Blade, the Detroit Free Press and others. Before living in Lake
Havasu, he was a resident of Azusa, California.

in Chicago; his sons, Calvin (wife Kathleen) and Paul, both of
Glendora, California; his daughters, Cynthia (husband Gary Silvius) of
San Bernardino, California, and Judith Saso (husband James) of Upland,
California. He also is survived by his grandchildren, Lindsay and

Aichele of Morgan Hill, California, Mary Scholbrock of Hayward,
Wisconsin, and Florence Zawistowski of Holcombe, Wisconsin.

His family says he was a generous man who cared for others more than
he did for himself. He could build or repair anything and was always
willing to use his skills to help family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at 3 p.m. at
the Lake Havasu Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1516 Marlboro Drive, Lake
