| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, September 6, 2017, p. A-5 Laurel Dean (Leo) Hoffer, husband, father, son and brother went to be with our Lord at the age of 73 years. Leo will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Laurie; and also his precious children Dustin, Drew and Anthony; brothers Paul (Janet), David (Karen), Daniel (Suezette) and Quinton (Anita). He was a native of Nappanee, Ind., and was born on Oct. 8, 1943, to Gerald and Laura Hoffer. He attended Dawson County High School in Glendive, Mont., and graduated in 1963. After graduation, he joined the U.S. National Guard and received an honorable discharge. He married his former wife and mother of three children in 1964. He transferred to Sheridan, Wyo., with the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1976. He then remarried to his forever wife in Cody, Wyo., on horseback in 1982. Worked for BNSF railroad for 32 years, retiring in October 2003. Leo and his wife Edwina then retired to Wickenburg in 2010 to be closer to their only grandson Dylan. He loved his two furry companions Duke and Daisy very much and made many friends at the dog park. He also volunteered at Wickenburg Community Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at Wickenburg Bible Fellowship at a date and time yet to be determined. Another service in Sheridan, Wyo., for his many friends there.
