This world has lost another angel — our beautiful and beloved mother
and grandmother.

Vera Louise Bigelow passed away Jan. 21, 2018, at the Arizona
Pioneers Home in Prescott.

Vera was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Mesa, to Lula and Frank Parrish.
Theirs was a large family of 12 children, and Vera was their tenth
child. The family later moved to Snowflake, Arizona, and Vera had
many wonderful adventures there with her family.

She met the love of her life, Marion Lee Bigelow, in Snowflake when
she was 16 years old. They married later in the LDS Mesa temple on
March 27, 1942. Then World War II hit, and they were separated for
2½ years, which were very scary years. They were reunited in a
joyous reunion when the war was over.

Marion was the only man for Vera throughout their 63 years of
marriage. They created a loving home for their six children. Their
home was filled with love and laughter.

Vera was a wonderful housewife and mother. Marion and Vera were
eternal companions, sweethearts and role models for all who knew
them. Vera was preceded in death by Marion and her daughter, Janel
and son-in-law, Scott Lindsay.

Marion and Vera raised their grand-daughter, Isabel Lindsay, after
the death of her parents. She was a ray of sunshine to them in their
later years.

Vera is survived by her five children, David, Judy, Steve, Gary and
Tonni and their spouses. She is also survived by 125 grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. They are her
proudest legacy.

Vera's family thanks Dr. Stephen Downey and all the nurses and aids
at the Arizona Pioneers Home. A special thanks to all the merciful
angels at Maggie’s Hospice that took such compassionate care of Vera
in her last days.

A funeral is planned for Feb. 2, 2018, at noon in the LDS Chapel in
the Ruth St. building, Prescott.

An internment will immediately follow at the Mountain View Cemetery,
Willow Creek Rd., Prescott.

We will miss you, Ma Ma, and all the love and loyalty you have given
us throughout your life. Goodbye for now, all of your family.
