| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, January 31, 2018, page 5a Raymond Roberts, 93, passed away on Jan. 19, 2018. He was born Sept. 16, 1924, in Monongalia, West Virginia, to William T. Roberts and Agnes Barrow. After graduating from Mooseheart High School in Illinois, Ray enlisted the Army, in 1943, as a medical technician. He served in France, England, Germany and Belgium during WWII until honorably discharged in 1946. He was a corporal, responsible for emergency medical treatment, with five men under his command. After leaving the service, Ray worked as a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service for 18 years. He is survived by his nieces -- Cathy Logan, who resides in California, and Pat Amundsen, who resides in Washington State. Ray was predeceased by his parents and three beloved sisters, Lillian Lamb, Marian Logan and Evelyn King; and his brother, Edward Roberts. Information is provided by survivors. |
