Dixie, family and friends by his side Dec. 21, 2017.

He was born to Rex and Dorothy White on May 28, 1942 in Duncan,
Oklahoma. Rex grew up in Bellflower, California and graduated from
Bellflower High School in 1960.

He enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving 1961 to 1965, and
was a member of the Air Force’s traveling tennis team. After his
discharge, he went into the HVAC industry, working for several
companies in Orange County, California before starting his own company
in 1979.

Rex enjoyed all sports. He played basketball, softball, tennis, golf,
bowling and boating on the Colorado River in Parker, California. He
also liked to cook, play cards and dominoes. He always was very
competitive. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Rex
never met a stranger.

He decided to sell his company and retire in 1999 to his second home
in Lake Havasu City. He and Dixie married in January 2000 and moved to
Havasu full time.

He met a young man, Greg Simmons, an artist with wood. Well, Rex
flunked retirement and opened up a new business with Greg, Tri Pacific
Enterprises Custom Wood Products. He had a gift for sales and enjoyed
people. He joined the Lake Havasu City Rotary Club and the Lake Havasu
Chamber of Commerce. The company grew from two to 20 within a few
years. He had a talent for envisioning what his clients wanted. He
closed the company in 2009 due to the change in the economy.
