John “Johnny” Alan Wise 60, of Lake Havasu City, returned to his
heavenly home, March 8, 2015 due to a long illness with cancer. His
firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave
him peace.

John was a native Californian, born on June 20, 1954. He graduated
from Western High School in Anaheim, CA. June was his partner in life,
and they were devoted to each other for more than 19 years. John
served in the U.S. Army for four years, is a veteran of the Vietnam
War, where he earned several medals. The discipline and patriotism he
learned in the Army never left him, as friends and family will attest.
John worked as a truck driver and a mechanic for many years, knew
everything about engines. He worked for Republic Services for more
than ten years as a truck driver. He enjoyed watching football,
anything car related, camping boating and surfing and was an avid
fisherman. He loved the southern California ocean. He loved to eat,
had an extremely healthy appetite especially for beer and pizza.

He is survived by the love of his life, June; his parents, his son,
his daughter, a brother and a sister and other family members and many
friends, neighbors and beloved dogs. He is preceded in death by his
grandparents, stepfather, brother-in-law and two older brothers.

John requested to be cremated and will be interred at the Riverside
National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
