| R. Galer Funeral Home - Pickford, Michigan - Audrey Frances Zalewski, age 89, of Rudyard, Michigan, died October 24, 2015, at Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Audrey was born on February 25, 1926, in Roseville, Michigan, to Frank and Estelle (Beste) Montague. Audrey grew up in River Rogue, Michigan, and worked in manufacturing during the war. She married Adam Henry Zalewski on February 15, 1947, and they settled in Belleville, Michigan, to raise their family. Audrey worked for the Ford Motor Company and retired from the Rawsonville Ford Plant. Audrey and Adam retired to Arizona where they lived until Adam’s death in 1997. Audrey was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Rudyard. She enjoyed spending long weekends relaxing at the lake. She also enjoyed embroidery, gardening, canning, and watching classic movies. Audrey is survived by two sons, Richard Zalewski of Phoenix, Arizona and David (Diana) Zalewski of Lake Havasu, Arizona; daughter, Nancy (Brian) Ross of Rudyard; and granddaughter, Danielle Pitts. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Adam; sisters, Annabelle Woloskie and Mary Ellen Adam. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, October 29, at 11:30 A.M. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Rudyard. A gathering time will begin at 10:30 Thursday at the church. Final resting place will be in Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, Lake Havasu City, Arizona. See Also: Find A Grave |
