Chester Ray Faulkner

Chester (Chet) Ray Faulkner, (65) met his Lord, March 6, 2015
surrounded by his wife and children, after valiantly battling cancer.

Chet was born in San Bernardino, Calif., July 6, 1949, to Chester and
Bonnie Faulkner. Graduating Eisenhower High School in Rialto, Calif.,
he joined the Navy and was stationed on the destroyer USS Parsons
during the Vietnam War. In September 1971 he was honorably discharged.

He married Kari Lynne Hill September, 1971. In 1973 Chet worked as a
locomotive engineer out of Barstow and Needles, Calif., for The
Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, retiring in 2011 after 38 years.

The Lord blessed Chet and Kari with four beautiful children. In 1983
the family relocated to Lake Havasu City.

Chet faithfully served the Lord with his gifts and talents. He loved
boating, desert recreation, camping with the fifth-wheel; always
finding humor in life. His family was his life, giving of himself
abundantly to his wife, children, grandchildren and others. Chet loved
and served Jesus with his whole heart.

Chet is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kari; children Bryan, Amy
(Rob) Richardson, Nathan (Meghan) and Andy (Shelly); grandchildren,
Cassidy Faulkner, Noah Richardson, Rachel Richardson, Landon Faulkner,
Nathan Faulkner; Aidan (Kaylie and Reese) Hammond, Austin Richardson,
Andrew Faulkner; siblings, Patricia Ellerd, Jeanine Haney, Sheree Dee
Lynch (Dennis), William Oss (Teresa); mother-in-law, Joyce Hill; two
sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law; 12 nieces and six nephews; aunt,
Donna Faulkner; cousins, Jack (Di) Lucas and Denise (Gayle) Lusk; and
many friends.

He is predeceased by his parents; stepmother Cathy; sister, Vicki Sue
Young and stepbrother, Bobby.

Memorial service is at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 14, at Lake Havasu
Baptist Church, 2101 N. Palo Verde Boulevard, reception following. A
private family graveside service will follow the reception.

The family deeply thanks Hospice of Havasu, The Polidori House, Dr.
Wrona, Dr. Chauhan, Dr. Lyster and their staff for the wonderful care
and compassion; especially to Pastor Ray Carter and our family of
faith for their overwhelming love, prayer and support.
