Marian L. (Liem) Peters

Marian L. Peters of Lake Havasu City passed away March 8, 2015 at the
age of 87. She was the loving wife of Marvin Peters for 65 years.

Marian was born Dec. 28, 1927 in Mountain Lake, Minn. to the late Karl
and Alma Liem. She graduated from Miss Woods Kindergarten and Primary
Training School and taught first grade in St. Paul Park, Minn. before
marrying Marvin Peters July 9, 1949. She enjoyed every minute of being
a military wife. They lived in six states and Guam, sharing their love
of travel and adventure with their four children. Marian enjoyed being
active in the women’s groups at church, singing in the choir, and
staying active with activities with the kids. She enjoyed baking and
sewing, making many outfits for her children and husband. After
retirement, she and Marvin enjoyed traveling for another 28 years in
their trailer and truck, visiting family and friends, all 50 states
and three countries. They wrote about their adventures each year,
leaving lasting memories for their family.

Marian is survived by her husband, Marvin of Lake Havasu City; son,
Brian Peters and wife, Pam of Willmar, Minn.; daughter, Laura Thompson
and husband, Rod of Cumberland, R.I.; daughter, Rita Kidder of Lake
Havasu City; grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Matthew, Andrew,
David, Christine, Katherine and Thomas; and great-grandchildren,
Tristan, Kinleigh and Noah.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Karla Austin; and her
sister, Phyllis Inglett.

Marian will be deeply missed by all. A small service will be Saturday,
March 14 at 10 a.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.

A memorial service in memory of her life will be at a later date in
Minnesota.

Donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Peoria, Ariz. in
her memory.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and
Crematory.
