Edward Leland Coffman

Edward Leland Coffman, 81 years, died Dec. 26, 2017, in Redding,
California. He was born in Decatur, Illinois, on March 12, 1936, to
Freda (Whitig) and Leland D. Coffman.

Ed is survived by wife, Judy; one son, Randy Coffman (Kristie),
Sebastopol, California, and children, Jaymie Litsey (Chuck),
Baltimore, Maryland; Susan Acton (Bruce), Elk Grove, California; Jon
Litsey (Arlene), Redding, California; as well as, grandchildren,
Brandon, Kelsey and Lindsey Coffman; Kyle, Marc and Danielle Acton;
and Jenna and Jordan Litsey.

Ed was raised in Southern California. He started work with United
Airlines in Los Angeles and continued to work for them in Salt Lake
City, Denver and San Francisco.

Ed worked customer service including: reservation sales, group
sales, and as a computer programmer; a career of more than 33 years.
While working, and into retirement, Ed pursued his life-long love of
woodworking, where his preference was building furniture and
furniture design. Always creative, his hobbies included design and
crafting of beaded jewelry, which he sold in local stores.

Ed lived in Prescott, Arizona, from 2003 until 2016. Ed had a kind
and unselfish giving spirit and will be missed by his family and
many friends.

A memorial service will be held at the end of summer at UC Davis
Medical Center for family and friends. The family suggests
donations, in memory of Ed, go to your favorite charity or to UC
Davis Whole Body Donor Program.
