| The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, January 25, 1990, page 3b Marcos Gaitan Marcos Gaitan, 83, died Jan. 23, 1990, at the Arizona Pioneer Home. He was born April 25, 1906, in Mexico, to Jesus and Valentina (Sangino) Gaitan. A 73 year resident of Arizona, Mr. Gaitan worked as a miner for many years and was a baseball player and musician. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Tony, of Morgan Hill, Calif. and Joe, of San Jose, Calif.; four daughters, Valentina Rodriguez, of Modesto, Calif., Annie Torres and Lucy Valadez, both of San Jose, Calif., and Inez Gonzalez, of Anaheim, Calif.; one sister, Juana Fernandez, of Prescott; twenty-one grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave., with Father Salvator J. Bonano, C.M.F. officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek Road. Friends may call from 5 - 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 28, at Memory Chapel Mortuary. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Memory Chapel Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements. See Also: Arizona Gravestone Photo Project |
