| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted on Sunday, March 1, 2015 - Raymond Mylius was born July 29, 1938, in California, and passed away Feb. 23, 2015 in Kingman. He joined the Coast Guard and traveled all over the world working on tugboats, just like his dad. Ray married Randie in 1970. His passion was boats - building them by hand and racing outboard boats for many years both near Long Beach and in undeveloped Lake Havasu City. Their child, Lisa, was born in 1979. Three years later, they moved to Lake Havasu City where Ray joined up with Randie’s sister, Kathy and her husband Jim Hamilton to create Mohave Fire Protection, until retirement. Through the 30 years they lived there, they watched Havasu grow into a large city. Ray and Randie moved to Kingman, to be closer to their three grandchildren. They were married for nearly 45 years! Ray’s interest included fishing, working with his hands, being with family, watching sports on TV, taking road trips, and camping in their RV. He’s survived by his wife, Randie Mylius; his daughter, Lisa and her husband Ed Wilson; and his three awesome grandchildren, Alisa (16), Scott (6), and Amy (3). Husband, Dad, Papa, and Friend - will be forever missed but we know that we’ll see him again in heaven, and he’s watching over us in the meantime. Ray didn’t want a funeral, but a celebration of life will take place in the near future. |
