John (Jack) Raymond Rodgers, 78, passed away at home on Jan. 18, 2018
in Lake Havasu City.

Jack was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania on March 23, 1939, the son of
John and Mercedes Rodgers.

Jack married his loving wife, Lynda Allen, in Las Vegas, Nov. 19,
1966. The couple later renewed their vows in the Catholic Church. They
were married for 51 years.

After high school, Jack served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958.
After discharge, he moved to Southern California with a group of
buddies he had grown up with. They remained friends throughout his
life. He worked in California until 1987. Jack and Lynda then moved to
Lake Havasu City in 1989. Jack was employed by the school district at
Thunderbolt Middle School until his retirement in 2004.

Jack belonged to American Legion Post 81, FOE 4299, and Moose Lodge
2269 and volunteered at VFW Post 9401.

He enjoyed watching sports, especially football, college basketball,
and golf. He also liked the occasional visits to the casinos. He
especially enjoyed his weekly golf outings with his friends from the
local fraternal organizations. But, his favorite was socializing with
his many wonderful friends.

Jack is survived by his wife, Lynda, daughter Stacy, grandchildren
Darylle (Dylan) Garcia-Montanez, Sebastian Langton, and sister
Mercedes Iannone. He was preceded in death by son Daryl Rodgers,
sisters Ann Caputo and Frannie Lander and his parents.

Jack will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather,
brother, uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and as a kind and
trustworthy friend. His legacy shall live on in all those who knew
him. There will be a military honors and celebration of life for Jack
at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 3 at VFW Post 9401.
