Oscar Hernandez Born in Tombstone, Arizona on Jan. 2, 1924. Departed on Dec. 10, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Oscar Hernandez, 79, of Cottonwood died December 10, 2003. He was born January 2, 1924 in Tombstone, Arizona. He was a retired saleman. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was formerly a member of St. Cecilia's Mission Catholic Church. He leaves two daughters, Evie Scott of Scotland and Terry Lay of Cottonwood; two sons, Oscar Hernandez and Michael Hernandez, both of Cottonwood; three half brothers, Raymond Garcia, Edward Garcia and Adolf Garcia, all of California; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. There are no public services planned. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona.
