| Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, January 25, 1947, page 9 Hicklin Rites Set in Miami Miami - Jan 24 - Funeral services for Fred W. Hicklin, 70 years old, who apparently died of self-inflicted gun shot wounds Tuesday at his home in Lost Gulch, where he had been bedfast for some time, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Miles Chapel here. Mr. Hicklin had lived in this locality for 45 years and for the past 38 years in Lost Gulch, where he prospected and mined and held several mining claims which he considered valuable. He held a commission as deputy sheriff under Sheriff William Richardson. Survivors are his wife, Edith L. Hicklin; one brother; H. C. Hicklin, Central Heights, and a sister Mrs. Clara McGill, Clarkdale. He was born in Uvalde, Texas, July 4, 1877. Burial will be in the Globe Cemetery. |
