Upton, who came to Arizona at the turn of the century from Ontario, Canada, died late yesterday afternoon at a local hospital. Born in Ontario Feb. 3, 1882, Mr. Upton spent the greater part of his life near Mayer, mining, ranching and trucking and was well known in this area. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Laura Upton of Mayer and a sister in Ontario. Upton, of Mayer, who died Wednesday at a local hospital, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Ruffner Funeral Home, Rev. Charles Franklin Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. Mr. Upton had lived in the Mayer district since the turn of the century, coming to Arizona from Ontario, Canada. His interests have been in mining, ranching and trucking.
