| Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, January 24, 1917, page 1, column 3 Sudden Death William Hill, colored porter of Sweeney's barber shop, passed away suddenly, Sunday morning at about 3 o'clock from a hemorrhage of the lungs. The affliction was believed to have been superinduced from a fall on the sidewalk during the early part of Saturday night, although he did not complain of any illness after reaching home. He enjoyed an excellent name and was quite popular. He leaves a wife. He was aged about 34 years. A corner's jury returned a verdict that death was due to the above cause. The remains will be at Ruffner's and burial will be given this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Transcriber's note: Mr. Hill is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. |
