| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted on March 22, 2018 - Roberto Eras passed away March 14, 2018 in Lake Havasu City. He was born to Carlos and Josephine (Chacon) Eras Dec. 26, 1940 in Los Angeles. Bobby served his country in the United States Army Corps of Engineers as an 82nd Airborne paratrooper from 1957 to 1960. He married the love of his life, Susan De Baca on Sept. 10, 1960 in Los Angeles. They enjoyed 56 years together. He retired as an engineer form Pacific Bell and moved to Havasu in 2002. Bobby loved camping, fishing, golf, hunting, boating on the lake and playing softball with his team, Havasu Heat. He was an avid UCLA football fan. He was always happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Eras and Josephine Branum, and his sister, Hope Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife Susan Eras, sons Bobby (Amy), Ken and David (Laura) Eras, daughter Carey Ryan, brothers Chuck (Jo) Eras, David (Dora) Alvarez and Gilbert Alvarez, sister Gloria Slovak, and six grandchildren: Katelynn, Megan, Max, Sean, Sophia and Isabel. Bobby’s celebration of life is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 25 at the Elks Lodge. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
