Fatal Affliction

After a long illness due to cancer of the stomach, Mrs. J. F.
Hopkins passed away yesterday in this city. She was brought here
from Walnut Grove several weeks ago to receive medical attention,
but the malady refused to respond to the best of care, and the
inevitable followed.

The deceased enjoyed a splendid name and her death will be regretted
by many.

Through all her suffering, Mr. Hopkins was at her side, and to whom
much sympathy is extended in his bereavement.

The remains are at Ruffner's and interment will be announced later.

Transcriber's note: Mrs. Hopkins is buried in an unmarked grave at
the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
