| Prescott Weekly Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Friday August 9, 1901, page 4, column 1 (From Thursday's Daily) D. W. Hoit (sic J. W. Hoyt), a Phoenix sick man, died over in the West Prescott pines last Sunday and was buried from Logan's undertaking parlors Tuesday. His mother, who lives in Connecticut, telegraphed, after the burial, for the body to be shipped. Further instructions in the matter are now awaited. Transcriber's note: Mr. Hoyt is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. No evidence has been found that he was ever removed to Connecticut. |
