When God calls us home, we go. Theresa Franck, a 64-year resident of Redondo Beach, lived her life for her Lord and Savior, family, and friends. She was born to parents Robert & Maria (Beaudet) Martel on May 24, 1925 in Manchester, NH, and died peacefully at home November 1, 2017. Over her 92 years, Theresa helped run her parents' boarding house during World War II, was a phenomenal example of a devoted wife and mother, taught herself how to sew and ran an at-home sewing business, and did for others as often as possible. It wasn't unusual for her to meet a stranger and leave having made a lifelong friend.

In 1946, Theresa married Antonin "Tony" Franck in Kittery, Maine, who preceded her in death in 2012. Theresa and Tony started married life in New England and made the brave decision to move to California in 1953. With three sons and a daughter on the way, the family moved to Redondo Beach, and eventually had two more daughters.

Throughout her life, Theresa relished family time, playing card games, attending the theater, dancing, and traveling around the world with friends.

Theresa is survived by her three sons: Bob (Josette) Franck of Wickenburg, AZ, Tom (Pat) Franck of Thousand Oaks, and Ed Franck of Torrance; three daughters: Denise (Ray) Patchett of Carlsbad, Priscilla (Matt) Peters of Yorba Linda and Cindy (Brad) Camarata of Yorba Linda; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 320 Massey Street, Hermosa Beach, on Wednesday, November 15 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to a charity of your choosing, in the name of someone dear to you.
