| Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona - Posted on March 27, 2018 - Dayton J. Lundy, Sr., 90, of Frankford Township, New Jersey, died Friday, March 23, 2018, at home. Born in Branchville, Dayton was a lifelong resident of Frankford Township. He was a United States Army veteran, proudly serving his country during World War II. Dayton was an electrician for the former Household Engineering in Branchville for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed building and was well known for building the former Lundy’s Restaurant in the early 1960s, of which he and his late wife were the owners/operators. Lundy’s was located on Route 206 in Frankford Township. A true visionary, Dayton was also known for his wood carvings, even with his limited eyesight. He enjoyed traveling as well. Dayton was a member of American Legion Post 157 in Branchville. The son of the late Louis and Amy (nee Borg) Lundy, Dayton was also predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Betty June (nee Klos) Lundy, on Sept. 26, 2016; his grandson, Justin Woloszyn, in 1989; his sisters, Ruth Eckman and Florence Decker; and his half-brother, Jack Noble. Dayton is survived by his children, Lou Ann Lundy Woloszyn and husband, Richie, of Sussex, and Dayton Lundy, Jr., and wife, Kerry, of Kingman, Arizona; his grandchildren, Christopher Woloszyn and wife, Alissa, of Frankford Township, Donniel Woloszyn and fiancé, Daniel Schmidt, of Sussex, Lenora Lundy of Kingman, Arizona, Robert Lundy and wife, Katie, of Kingman, Arizona, Kimberley Lundy Martinez of Alaska; nine great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. Funeral services will be held at noon today, at the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville. Interment will follow in Branchville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on today, from 10 a.m. to noon, with American Legion Services at 11:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered at www.woodfuneralhome.net. |
