| Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, January 3, 1944, page 1, column 8 Mrs. Alfred Jones Is Called By Death Mrs. Elizabeth Pease Jones died unexpectedly at her home, 302 North Virginia Street, Friday after a brief illness. Mrs. Jones was born September 14, 1886, in Lansford, Penn. She was married in Tombstone, to Alfred W. Jones in July, 1907. She had resided in Yavapai county since 1907, making her home at various times at mining communities where her husband was employed, including the Senator district, Crown King, Mayer and greater part of the time in Prescott, except for two years residence in Flagstaff. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children: Mrs. Margaret Clay, of this city; Mrs. Gladys Myers, of San Francisco; WAVE, Ann Jane Allen, U.S. Navy, Macon, Georgia; William Alfred (Bill) Jones, electrician's mate, 3/B U.S. Navy, Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Elizabeth Van Vorhees is her mother-in-law. Mrs. Myers and WAVE Allen are expected to be here for the funeral services and the also may come. The time of funeral services will be announced later. The Lester Ruffner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
