Kathleen Yamauchi, 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in
Prescott, Arizona, after a nine-year battle with cancer.

Kathleen was born in Palo Alto, California, on Jan. 17, 1951, to
Joyce (now Peters) and James Hoey. She grew up in the Bay Area and
eventually attended the University of California, Davis. Later,
while working as an airline attendant, she offered the captain of an
international flight: “Coffee, tea or me?” Captain Shoyei responded,
“Coffee, please,” and the two married within the year.

In 1991, Kathleen and her family of four moved to Prescott, where
Kathleen’s mother, Joyce Peters, was born, raised and still resides.

Kathleen began her real estate career in 1991 and quickly built a
successful practice. In 2002, Kathleen and Shoyei opened their own
real estate company that would eventually become the Kathleen
Yamauchi Group Real Estate, where Kathleen worked as the designated
broker until March 2018. Throughout her career, Kathleen was
consistently recognized and celebrated for her professionalism,
honesty, diligence and kindness.

Kathleen dedicated her life to Jesus Christ in 1989, and spent her
remaining years making every effort to sacrificially love and serve
those around her. In one of her many journals, Kathleen wrote that
her life mission was to “live that my joy in Christ Jesus and my
obedience to God may encourage others and glorify my savior.” Above
all, Kathleen desired to hear her Lord say upon her passing: “Well
done, good and faithful servant.”

Kathleen was an active member of the Canyon Bible Church, and
volunteered on the board of the Community Pregnancy Center in
Prescott from 2010-2016, and served as the chair from 2013-2014.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Shoyei; her two children,
Carrie (and husband Peter) and Danny (and wife Hannah); three
grandchildren; her mother, Joyce; and her sister, Janet.

Please join Kathleen’s family as we celebrate her life on April 7 at
11 a.m., at the Heights Church in Prescott. Funeral arrangements
entrusted to the Hampton Funeral Home.
