| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted on Friday, March 6, 2018 - Andrew T. Mortland Jr., 90, of Lake Havasu City, went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2018. He was born Oct. 9, 1927, the son of Andrew and Lucy Mortland in Hardin, Illinois. Andrew moved from Hardin to Yucaipa, California. He was a Los Angeles County security officer until moving to Lake Havasu City. He married his true love, Virginia, on April 21, 1956 in West Covina, California. They were blessed with 61 years together. He enjoyed music, playing games, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Andrew was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed attending services. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Lucy, and his brother Charles Mortland. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Mortland, son Gregory Mortland (Laurie), grandson Michael Mortland (Jessica), great-grandchild Robbie and many nephews and nieces. Andrew’s service to honor him is April 14 at Calvary Baptist Church’s McCulloch Campus at 1 p.m. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
