Mohave Memoril Funeral & Cremation - Kingman, Arizona - John Hans Koop, 77, passed away on January 31, 2018 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born in Kamrar, Iowa to Hans and Wilma Koop on April 27, 1940. Right after high school John joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. Soon after he married the love of his life, Doris, on December 14, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa. The couple made a beautiful family together. John made a career in hospital communications, specializing in electrical and computer programming. In his free time, he loved to fish and visit with his buddies while having lunch or cocktails. John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris Koop; children, Kim Lancaster, Jody Koop, and Tony Koop (Cheri Comer); sister, Betty Clark; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Laurene Murphy; and brother, Keith Koop. A visitation will be held at Mohave Memorial Lake Havasu Mortuary on Saturday February 10, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm. A celebration of life will be held at Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 4299 on Sunday February 11, 2018 at 11:00am. Services were placed in the care of Mohave Memorial Funeral & Cremation Services.
