| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, April 5, 2018, page 7a Harvey Busby Clifford of Pine, Arizona, passed away on March 31, 2018, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 83. Harvey was born on Dec. 8, 1934, in Tucson, Arizona, to Alfred and Rose (Busby) Clifford. He was the fourth of six children. Harvey was a baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to Argentina for the LDS Church. He served in many capacities of the Church, including as a Sunday School teacher, Young Men’s President, Branch President, High Councilor. He had a testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ. On Dec. 21, 1959, he married Junetta Arnett in the Mesa, Arizona, LDS Temple. On Sept. 29, 1960, their daughter, Leilani, was born in Hawaii while Harvey was in the military there. On Sept. 27, 1965, their son, Brad, was born, and on March 22, 1969, their son, Randy, was born. Harvey worked for years for Western Savings and Loan and later owned his own landscape company. Recently, Harvey worked for Ace Hardware in Payson, Arizona. Harvey loved gardening. He always had a vegetable and beautiful flower gardens. He loved to cook, grill, smoke, for family and friends. He truly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them as much as possible. Harvey was an athlete and loved to play all sports from fastpitch softball to basketball and even tennis. He got great joy in watching his children and grandchildren play sports and would travel great lengths to their events. In addition, he will forever be a University of Arizona Wildcat fan. Harvey is survived by his wife, Junetta (Arnett) Clifford; his brothers, Floyd (Carol) Clifford of Meridian, Idaho, Clinton (Ann) Clifford of Phoenix, Arizona and Gary Clifford from Tucson, Arizona; children, Leilani Skousen, Brad (Mindy) Clifford and Randy (Lisa) Clifford; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 9 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pine, Arizona (AZ-87 & Pine Canyon Drive). Harvey will be buried in Pine, Arizona. Arrangements entrusted to Bueler Funeral Home. Information provided by survivors. |
