| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, April 6, 2018, page 5a Mary Lee Caulk Donavan was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 22, 1931, and went to the Lord April 2, 2018. She grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, and graduated from Granby High and Madison College in the Shenandoah Valley with a degree in education. She is the daughter of Captain James Caulk and Charlotte Pearl Caulk. Predeceased are Frank Edgar Ragland, brother; and Grace Caulk Kirkland, sister. From an early age, Mary was a member of the choir of Christ United Methodist Church, which was directly across the street from her home. She was also a member of the glee club in college. She taught school 1954-1964 in Richmond, Virginia, and Anaheim, California. In Costa Mesa, California, she married Captain Robert D. Donavan Jr. She received her Master’s Degree in Education from UCLA in 1964. Mary loved singing in the choir, horseback riding, working in the flower garden (she had 140 rose bushes), and working at Lockheed (1985-1994). A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Solid Rock Chapel, at the corner of Marina and Union St., Prescott. Hampton Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
