| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted on Sunday, April 8, 2018 >> Sept. 20, 1926–March 31, 2018 << Niles Eddie Davis, 91, passed away peacefully from natural causes on March 31. Although born in Thorpe, Iowa, Niles spent most of his life in Omaha, Nebraska and Lake Havasu City. He graduated from Belmont High School in Los Angeles in 1944. After graduation, he joined the Army Air Corps at the end of World War II. Upon discharge, he married the love of his life, Mary Jean Robinson. After several years of building in Omaha, he and Mary moved to Lake Havasu City. He continued his construction business for another 23 years. Always a leader, Niles was an active member of the Optimist Club, served a term as president of the Home Builders Association, served on the City Council including a term as vice mayor. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling with Mary in their fifth wheel. After Mary was gone, Niles moved back to Omaha and enjoyed his family and taking care of his home. Niles was preceded in death by his wife Mary, one brother and two sisters. He is survived by daughter Linda Davis Peairs and sons Niles Alan Davis and Norman Scott Davis, as well as numerous grandkids, great- grandkids and great-great-grandkids. There will be a celebration of life for Niles on May 12, 2-5 p.m., at Hillsborough Pointe Apartments Clubhouse, 14441 Sprague Court, Omaha, Nebraska. |
