| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, April 8, 2018, page 9a John Owens passed away in Prescott, Arizona, on April 2, 2018. He was born on Nov. 20, 1940, to John and Maxine Owens. Maxine married John’s step-father, Alfred Bearden, who helped raise him. John proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Cecelia and had two children Pam and John. John then married Carolyn and had two more children Stan and Amie. He then married Francisca LaFranco on November 24, 2006. He was a cross-county truck driver and enjoyed doing his job. John is survived by his loving wife Francisca, daughters Pam Owens and Amie Taber, and sons Stan Owens and John Owens, a sister Bonnie Bearden, a brother Don Bearden, step-daughters Arlena LaFranco, Francisca Ammerman, and Alicia Montano, 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father John Owens, mother Maxine Bearden, step-father Alfred Bearden, and brothers Bob Owens and Jerry Bearden. A visitation will be held for John on Sunday, April 15th, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Ruffner Wakelin Prescott Chapel, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott, AZ, a funeral service will take place at Prescott Chapel on Monday, April 16th, 2018 at 11 a.m. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Homes.
