| Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona - Posted on April 5, 2018 - Earl Hale Leonard of Dolan Springs, Arizona, passed away suddenly at his home on March 24, 2018, at the young age of 62 of atrial sclerotic cardio vascular disease. He was born in Los Angeles California, on April 1, 1955, to Curtis Earl Leonard and Nettie Mae Grant. Earl resided in Dolan Springs for the last 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister. He is survived by his three children, Kristie Anna Wright, Juliann Inez Leonard (nka Juli Wallace), and Michael Hale Leonard (nka Michael Covington), 13 grandchildren and six nieces and nephews. Earl was a community benefactor serving others happily with his painting and general repair skills. Earl had much pride in and loved his children and his many animals. Earl loved his home and his freedom of being in wide-open spaces. He loved playing his guitar, reading the Bible and the encyclopedia, and listening to NPR. He was a God-fearing man who loved his Savior Jesus Christ. He also had a loving and forgiving heart. He was passionate about learning and would often speak using the many big words he picked up from reading the encyclopedia. Earl made friends easily with his friendly outgoing personality and will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
