| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Eva Vayda, known to all who loved her as “Nanny,” passed away peacefully in Las Vegas at noon on May 19, 2016. A survivor of the Holocaust, Eva came to the United States in 1956 with her husband Andrew, son Paul, and daughter Judith during the Hungarian Revolution. Eva served Lake Havasu City in 1972 as the very first radiological technician, when the hospital was Lake Havasu Community Hospital with only 32 beds. She came over with the original McCulloch flights and made Lake Havasu City her home for 35 years. She is an original home owner of Los Lagos. Predeceased by her husband Andy, and her mother Lydia, Eva is survived by her sister and fellow Lake Havasu resident Anna; son, Paul; daughter, Judith; grandchildren Daniel, Michael, Julie, and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren Emily, Katie, Ely, Andrew, Charlie, Nathan, Rubi and Abigail.
