R. L. Howard Succumbs To Long Illness

Richard L. Howard, who for the past 7 years had conducted a shoe repairing shop on Walnut street, succumbed at 5:30 this morning to an illness lasting several months.

Mr. Howard was 29 years of age, having been born in Phoenix, Ariz., on December 23, 1896. He is survived by a wife, also an aunt, Mrs. Beulah Schnurbusch, and a grandmother, Mrs. Lottie Harris. The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from D. C. Tucker's mortuary, Rev. L. P. Sanborn officiating.

Deceased was a quiet and industrious man and despite his ailment worked up to nearly the last.
