| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, April 18, 2018 David Bruce Champlin August 31, 1959 - April 13, 2018 It is with the deepest of sorrows that we announce the death of David Bruce Champlin on April 13, in Glendale. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, cousin and friend to many. Dave was born on Aug. 31, 1959, in Wickenburg, to Bruce Champlin and Nadine Macias Champlin. A fifth-generation native son, his great-great-grandfather Ramon Macias established the 6M ranch where his family resided through generations. He grew-up with his sister Christine and close cousins who lived nearby. Dave graduated from Wickenburg High School Class of 1978. He was a dedicated welder for the Paradise Valley School District, and had served previously as a volunteer Fireman for Wickenburg. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, camping, cooking and exploring. He enjoyed sharing his love of music, cooking, jokes and storytelling to all. He was preceded in death by his father Bruce; grandparents Walter and Gladys Champlin, Manuel and Concepcion Macias; uncle and godfather Shorty Macias; aunt Carmelita Macias and his in-laws John and Jean Radavich. He is survived by the love of his life, wife of 32 years, Cindy Radavich Champlin; sons John, Matthew; and his faithful dog Mazie; his beloved mother Nadine; sister Christine Champlin Pierce; aunts Dorothy Carroll and Ersie (Ervan) Randolph; his cousins Julia (Art) Brooks, Debora (Don) Griffiths, Mike (Terry) Macias, Frank (Ranea) Macias, Alex (Julie) Macias, Susan (Bill) Fox, Ray (Norma Gale) Carroll, Carol Rupert, John and Edwin Randolph; goddaughter Lisa Jefferson and several nieces and nephews. David is also survived by additional cousins and wonderful friends whom he enjoyed long lasting friendships. See Also: Find A Grave |
