Bill A. Racine, 94, of Lake Havasu City, passed away at his home
surrounded by family on Feb. 4, 2015. He was born in Los Angeles, CA
on July 14, 1920, and graduated from Manual Arts High School in 1939.
He married Blodwen (Bobbie) Richards on November 22, 1942 in Las
Vegas, NV and joined the U.S. Army in March, 1943. He served in the
China-Burma-India Theater, maintaining the CBI Pipeline. He and Bobbie
were married for 47 years.

After the war, he and Bobbie made their home in Big Bear, CA. They
later moved to Hacienda Heights and raised their 2 children. He worked
as a Project Engineer and retired from Southwestern Engineering
Company in 1986. In 1988, they settled in Lake Havasu City to spend
time on their pontoon boat, enjoying the lake.

Dad loved camping and boating, and introduced us to boating and water
ski vacations in the 1950s along the Colorado River. He and his
brother-in-law built their first boat and even built their own water
skis. Our Lake Havasu vacations began before the bridge was even
built.

Family always came first. He loved woodworking and was happiest in his
woodshop or helping his family design and build home improvement
projects.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Frank Racine and
Mildred Lucille Pfeiffer, and his wife, Blodwen Richards Racine. He is
survived by his daughter Denyse R. Daniel (Mark) of Bishop, CA, his
son William D. (Kathy) of Lake Havasu City, his granddaughter,
Alexandria N. Racine of Lake Havasu City, and his dog Skippy.

Graveside services will take place at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens on
Thursday, February 12 at 1:00PM with full Military Honors.

Donations may be sent to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100
Empire Dr. Lake Havasu City, Arizona, 86403.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Thoughts
and condolences may be sent to Bill's family at www.lietz-
