Lynda Marilyn Foldesh, 64, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2018
with her husband and children by her side.

Lynda was born on July 20, 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona to Molly and
Jack Halperin. The fourth of five children born into a lively,
loving household, she recounted many shenanigans of her childhood
including when her brother Martin hid under her bed in the dark and
grabbed her feet as she slipped into bed; when her sister Ilene (and
2nd mom) was her high school teacher; how she and her sister
Rochelle (and best friend) took the term “shenanigans” to a whole
new level; how she loved being a “big sister” to Phyllis; and the
many concerts she and lifelong friends Pati and Laurie would sneak
into.

Lynda graduated from Alhambra High School in 1971, and shortly
after, married her high-school sweetheart, William (Bill). Together,
they built and celebrated 46 years of life’s greatest. In their 46
years, they created a family, a home, traveled the world, and
celebrated dozens of their family’s life events.

Nurturing was part of Lynda’s DNA. Having worked for more than 30-
years in varied social service positions with both public and
private organizations, Lynda provided the support and services
needed to help thousands of individuals and families in-need. It’s
no surprise that one of Lynda’s greatest joys was nurturing her
family-especially her children and grand-children. Being present and
speaking daily with family was priority. She’d wake up to “telephone
tag” starting with one of her sisters, moving onto friends or her
children, taking a brief break for Judge Judy, and ending the
evening with the day’s highlights with one of her sisters. And the
babies…Lynda loved her grand-babies spending much of her retired
years stopping the world for her two grandsons.

Lynda is survived by her husband of 46 years Bill; daughters Amy
(Ty) and Jessica; son Charlie (Jacqi); grandsons Ethan and Jackson;
sisters Ilene Blau and Phyllis Lewis; her godson Justin (Brianne);
and dozens of extended family members.

A graveside service was held on April 9 at Beth El cemetery. Lynda’s
family is overwhelmingly grateful for the support provided by their
extended family and friends during the last 18 months.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations contributed in
memory of Lynda to hov.org and pancan.org.
