Margaret M. Ramirez
July 23, 1922-Jan. 2, 2018

Margaret, 95, passed away peacefully in Surprise.

She was born in Prescott, but lived most of her life in Wickenburg, where she met and married Louis G. Ramirez. They moved to Congress in the mid-seventies.

Margaret was a seamstress for many years and took much love and pride in making clothes and doing alterations for her family and the people of Wickenburg. There are many who remember when she made cheerleading outfits for the high school, costumes for Mrs. Spizak's Dance Academy and the beautiful golden outfits for Miss Gold Nugget. In their later years, Margaret and Louie made crafts and sold them at the local swap meet.

Our family will always have many fond memories of barbeques in the back yard and picnics out in the desert. These events always meant a lot to Margaret and Louie.

Margaret is survived by daughters, Marilyn Jones of Alta Loma, Calif., Donna Ramirez of Congress, Rose Stathis of Beaumont, Calif., and son Wayne (Gail) Mims of Covina, Calif. Margaret also played a big part in raising grandchildren Kimberly, Lori and Lisa Seagoe. She also lives on through her other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret is preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Castro of Boise, Idaho.

I would like to thank all the family members, caregivers and friends who were there to help take care of my mom the last couple of years.

Graveside services will be held Jan. 20 around 10 a.m. at the Wickenburg cemetery.
