| The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, April 29, 2018, page 6a Earl Sundell-Bahrd of Dewey, Arizona, passed from this life on April 18, 2018. Earl was born in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, on Jan. 17, 1935, to Pedro Matthias and Eva Vivian Sundell-Bahrd. Earl was a loving husband to Barbara (Ward); a devoted father to Clayton Niles (Laura), Dale Blair (Josie), Joel Bradley (Julie), Stephanie Pamelia (John); and Barbara’s children, Robbi Holt-Harris, Michael Holt, and Tammara Jobes (Darrell). He was grandfather to 15 children and great-grandfather to 14. Earl loved his sisters, Darlene Wells, Teresa Olkowski (Joe), Cheryl, and his brother, Murray (Judy). He always referred to Murray as his “4 o’clock buddy.” He leaves many nieces, nephews and friends. Earl was 14 when his love of the sea and repairing diesel equipment became apparent. He worked in that industry for the next 50 years, retiring in 2000 from REC as Equipment Superintendent. Barbara and he traveled the world, mostly cruising, but loved RV’ing, saying Alaska was their favorite along with Washington, D.C., as he had become a citizen in 1972. He loved old cars, owning several, loving his ’64 Olds the best. A celebration of his life will be held June 23, 2018, with a scattering of his ashes in his beloved ocean and a reception at his daughter’s home in Oceanside, California.
