Daniel L. Kohena, born in January 1938, and raised in Elmira, New
York, left this earth on April 28, 2018, and moved into the loving
presence of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dan suffered from several health issues, which resulted in his
retiring at the age of 52. Never complaining about those health
issues, which he accepted but fought to overcome, he could not win
the final diagnosis of cancer.

He was known for his outstanding integrity, patience and loyalty to
those he loved. A friend described him as the kindest man ever
known.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel, Jr., and a step-
granddaughter, Jessica Towner ( stillborn ).

With a goal of 50 years of married life to his wife, Marlene, he
reached that goal, being diagnosed with cancer less than a month
later. Besides Marlene, his survivors include step-children: Debra
Towner, Ameigh and Leroy Towner, (Jannette), and seven
granddaughters, one grandson plus, several great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held May 5, 2018, at Cornerstone
Evangelical Free Church, 700 W. Rosser St., Prescott, at 11 a.m.

So much gratitude to Maggie’s Hospice Care for their outstanding
care of Dan. Memorial gifts to Salvation Army, 237 Montezuma Street,
Prescott, AZ .
