| Reno Gazette-Journal, Reno, Nevada Wednesday, October 13, 1954, page 9 Former Elko Resident Dies Elko - Funeral services for Solon (Pete) Marker, former resident of Elko who died at his home in Watsonville, Calif., over the week-end were conducted by officers of the Elko Elks Lodge Tuesday, Oct. 5, at the Burns Funeral Home chapel. Burial was in the family plot of the city cemetery. Marker was a resident of Elko for many years while employed by the Western Pacific Railroad. After retiring he moved to Watsonville where he resided until his death. His exact age was not known but it was believed he was approximately 70 years old. Transcriber's note: Mr. Marker lived in Yavapai County, Arizona at one time and his first wife is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. |
