| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, May 16, 2018, page 6a Joan Pieroni, 79, of Prescott Valley, Arizona, went to be with the Lord and all her beloved deceased ones on May 11, 2018. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on Nov. 22, 1938, to Edward and Inez Scala. Joan was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Donald, beloved uncle Jack, and nephew John. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Gino Pieroni; brother, Edward Scala; sister, Carol Bicchieri; nephews, Edward and Donald; nieces, Stephanie and Jennifer; and stepdaughters, Rhonda Pieroni, Gerri Harrison and Brenda Dinsmore. Joan was a teacher in Everett, Massachusetts, 34 years, where she taught gifted children. She lived in Woburn, Massachusetts, before moving to Prescott Valley in 1997. She loved reading, traveling, dancing and photography. In accordance with Joan’s wishes, funeral services and interment will be private at Heritage Memorial Park.
