Jack Raymond VanDeusen

Jack, passed away on May 11, 2018 at the age of 84, in Prescott,
Arizona. He was born on December 5, 1933 in Hillsdale, Michigan.
Jack proudly served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957 in the 3rd
Armored Division. He worked at various jobs in Michigan including at
a family owned Shell Oil Distributor in Hillsdale, Michigan.

He volunteered many hours at the Hillsdale County Civil Defense,
Hillsdale Rural Fire Department and Hillsdale Emergency Services. He
moved to Arizona in 1979 and did maintenance engineering. He retired
from the Scottsdale Princess in 1995. In Arizona he was a member of
the Sons of the Revolution and The Prescott Valley Lions Club. He
enjoyed woodworking and donated many wooden items to local
organizations including the Prescott Valley VFW. He also enjoyed
exploring the area, history, outdoor activities and family outings.

Jack is survived by his wife Sue, of 64 years of marriage. He is
also survived by his brother, Jon (Ginger) Van Deusen of Tucson,
Arizona. His children: Gary (Joann) Van Deusen of Hillsdale,
Michigan; Mary Sue (Dan) Walston of Middleville, Michigan; Candi
(Steve) Post of Prescott Valley, Arizona; Mark (Patti) Van Deusen of
Prescott Valley, Arizona; Sara (Jeff) Maurer of Sparks, Nevada; 13
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A private family
memorial will be held in the future.
