Verda Mae McCarthy Born in Taylor Michigan, Sept. 12, 1925. Departed on Feb. 14, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Verda Mae McCarthy, 76, of Cottonwood, Arizona died on Thursday, February 14th, 2002. She was born in Taylor, Michigan on September 12, 1925. A former resident of Michigan, she had worked as a medical secretary before her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. Mrs. McCarthy is survived by her daughter: Judith E. Emmons of Cottonwood; a sister, Lorraine Hills of McKinleyville, Calif.; a brother, Dale Ferris of Taylor, Mich.; grandchildren, Amy Glidden of Baltimore, Md.; Patrick Callon of Prescott, Ariz. and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 15th at 11:00 A.M. in the Westcott Funeral Home 1013 E. Mingus Avenue, Cottonwoood, Arizona.
