| Arizona Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Tuesday, December 8, 1903, page 1, column 4 Passing Of A Pioneer J. M. More, more familiarly known as 'Uncle Jimmy,' died at the county hospital yesterday aged 82 years. Deceased came here about thirty five years ago, and resided most of his time in Kirkland valley, although for a few years prior to the death of his wife, which occurred about twelve years ago, the couple resided in Prescott. Deceased was a good citizen, though a man of strong convictions and strong will power even to aggressiveness, in what he considered the right. He served on term as assessor of this county and discharged the duties fearlessly and impartially. The funeral will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, afternoon, from the chapel in P. Mohn & Co.'s undertaking parlors at two o'clock. Transcriber's note: Mr. More is buried beside his wife, in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. |
