Mrs. R. E. Morrison Called By Death

Highly Esteemed Woman Passed Away Rather Suddenly After Illness
Which Extended Long Period.

(From Sunday's Daily)

Calmly and peacefully as gentle sleep comes to the weary, the Great
Reaper yesterday summoned Mrs. Robert E. Morrison who had been in
ill health for many months. Death was due to Bright's disease.

The summons came suddenly and without the slightest warning. She
passed away peacefully and as if going into a deep slumber, and
those at the bedside were scarcely aware that the end had come, so
quietly had life ebbed away.

Until a few hours before her death, Mrs. Morrison had appeared
somewhat improved and had given instructions to her husband on
private affairs. This had renewed hope that the improvement noticed
in her condition during the past three weeks was to continue.
Several weeks ago she had suffered from a severe attack of her
illness, but with surprising vitality revived, and from that day to
the moment of her death it was believed she would recover.

Mrs. Morrison was a woman universally beloved in this city, and was
a central figure in many kind and generous acts to the needy. She
was an ardent and faithful believer in the Catholic church, and she
was prominently known and endeared for her consistent and zealous
attachment to the church.

Her maiden name was Lizzie Klar. She was famous in musical circles
as the leading soprano of St. Patrick's church of Chicago. She was
at that time but 15 years old.

After her marriage to Mr. Morrison and after coming to this city to
reside, she resumed her musical work, being a member of the Catholic
choir. Most of her musical life was devoted to choir work in the
Catholic church and she was recognized as one of the most
accomplished vocalists.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Louis
Kneipp, assistant forester of the Forestry Service at Washington;
one daughter, Mrs. J. K. McDonnell of Jerome, and one sister, Mrs.
William Stephens of New York.

Many telegrams of condolence were received by Mr. Morrison last
night attesting the love and esteem in which Mrs. Morrison was held.

Complete arrangements for funeral services have not as yet been
made.

Interment will be had in this city.

Transcriber's note: Mrs. Morrison is buried at the Citizens Cemetery
in Prescott, Arizona.
