Margaret O'Dell, 80, of Prescott, a retired cashier, died April 2,
1994.

She was born in Prescott and was a member of the Ladies Elks.

Survivors include her husband, Willard (Bill); a brother, Jack
Fitzgerald.

Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Prescott.

Margaret O'Dell

Margaret O'Dell, 80, died Saturday, April 2, 1994, at Yavapai Regional
Medical Center. She was born Nov. 30, 1913, in Prescott to William R.
and Katherine (Major) Fitzgerald

No only was Margaret a native of Prescott, but her father was born in
Walker and her mother in Prescott. She was under the watchful eye of
her father, who was always in law enforcement, serving 14 years as
Chief of Police of Prescott.

Margaret was a cashier at Safeway and then Fry's Grocery Store where
she retired after many years.

She attended St. Anthony Academy and Jerome schools, graduating in
1931 from Prescott High School. She belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic
Church.

She was a long-time member of the Ladies Elks, she even ran the
restaurant, now the Elks Theater.

Oldtimers in Prescott will remember the garden, flowers and yellow
roses that grew around the home. Margare and her son , Bob, moved to
the home following the death of her first husband. She lived the next
50 years there. As a young woman her many friends can also remember
seeing Margaret at all the dances, for she loved to dance.

Survivors include her husband, Willard (Bill) O'Dell; one brother and
his wife, Jack and Ilse Fitzgerald of Tucson; nephews, Thomas Michael
and James P.; a niece, Susan Cox; her many friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bob Jones.

A memorial funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 6,
at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fleury St., in Prescott with the Rev. Fred
LeClair, C.M.F,, presiding.

A concluding private cremation with inurnment will be at a latter date
in Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott is in charge of the
arrangements.
