| Weekly Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, December 13, 1893, page 3, column 3 Mrs. Celia Saunders (sic) died yesterday at the ripe old age of 85 years. Her husband died a little over a year , aged 94 years. The couple had lived on the frontier all their lives, neither of them ever having seen a railroad or train of cars until 1886 when the P. & A. C. railroad was under construction to Prescott. They leave three children to survive them, Messrs. T. D. and Irwin Saunders (sic) and Mrs. S. C. Miller. The funeral took place from the residence of S. C. Miller. Interment was in Simmons' graveyard west of town. Rev. J. J. Chase conducted the services. |
