(From Monday's Daily)

Dr. Warren E. Day, who went to Antelope Saturday to hold an inquest
and make a post-mortem examination of remains of Oscar Bear, shot on
the 14thinst. has returned. We are informed of the following facts,
which are reliable.

Bear had twelve wounds on his body, as follows, one shot wound thought
the head, one in neck over right carotid artery, one passing through
below 'Adams apple' and lodging in spinal cord, two wounds through
right shoulder fracturing the bone, two right side penetrating
stomach, two through right hand, shot wound breaking left shoulder, on
graze wound right hip, and one wound carrying away portion of his
chin. He evidently died instantly of cerebral hemorrhage.

The deceased was brought to Peeples' Valley yesterday, and interred by
friends in a very praiseworthy and christian manner.
