| Published in Today's News Herald on June 27, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Sharon (Sharry) Becker, 73, of Rossford, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home June 20, 2018. She was born Jan. 31, 1945 in Toledo to Harold and Dorothy (Pringle) Slocum. Sharry was a 1962 graduate of Rossford High School, went on to become a beautician, was an entrepreneur and an inventor who held 21 patents. She was the owner of the former Slocum Dry Goods, was an interior designer and enjoyed renovating homes. She loved the Rossford community and loved to spend time in Lake Havasu City. Sharry was a loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. Sharry was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Charles Giaimo, husband John A. Becker, and siblings Floyd Slocum, Lillian Butson, Bonnie Elendt and Russell Slocum. She is survived by her children Jamie (Tim) Walz, Andrea (Chris) Keifer and Mike (Sarah) Becker, grandchildren Joe, Josh (Jamie), Tyler and Zach Keifer, Jackie (Dennis) Price, Eric Walz, Evan, Hayley and Logan Becker; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister in-law, Cheryl Slocum, and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with Sharry's wishes, there will be no visitation and services will be private.
